CASE STUDY - AUTOMOTIVE
BlueConnect Automotive is a US-based company working to improve the vehicle ownership experience. It serves aftermarket automotive companies and holds patented, licensable IP for connected vehicle technology, including EngineLock, HoodLock, and SmartKeyPro.
BlueConnect asked us to build the BCA Connect App, an intelligent assistant that organises vehicle records and connects owners to their cars. We designed and developed the product across web and mobile, integrated the IoT features behind keyless entry and anti-theft, and built the backend to support multiple vehicle models.
BlueConnect needed an MVP that proved what its intelligent vehicle assistant could do. The product had to demonstrate real IoT capability rather than describe it, which set a high bar for both the architecture and the experience on top of it.
BlueConnect wanted a product that demonstrated what the assistant could do for used car owners, not a prototype that only sketched it.
Keyless entry, anti-theft protection, and smartphone connectivity all had to sit behind an interface that an ordinary owner could use without instruction.
Vehicle-to-app communication needed stable, secure real-time data transfer, since lag or dropped connections would undermine the features that depend on them.
Interactions running from keyless entry through to theft prevention could not compromise system stability, and the backend had to support multiple vehicle models and configurations.
We handled end-to-end product development for the BCA Connect App across web and mobile, building an interface aligned with BlueConnect's branding. Our team integrated the IoT layer covering keyless entry, vehicle anti-theft protection, smartphone connectivity, and car care functionality. We built secure real-time synchronization for vehicle-to-app communication, then designed a backend architecture that supports multiple vehicle models and configurations with room to scale.
